Tom Newsom was born in 1944 in La Grange, TX. Although he originally went to school for engineering, he succumbed to his true calling and graduated from California's Art Center College of Design in 1971. Mr. Newsom has created over 300 illustrations for paperpack book covers, but he has defined his talent in fine art and paints by telling a story. Cobble Hill particularly enjoys his jolly Santa paintings that bring a cheerful heart to all. He enjoys mountain living in Kittredge, CO with his family and maintains a collaborative art studio with his wife, Carol.
