Be Wary the Silent Night image of a cat in the forest

New November Puzzles In Stock!

Cobble Hill generally releases new puzzles three times per year with November usually having a larger selection of puzzles. For the 2025 Fall Release, there are 41 new puzzles with a wide range of imagery to satisfy puzzlers with different interests. We won't share all of them in this one blog, but there are a few that we want to highlight.

Along with new images, we're also very excited to introduce new artists to the mix, including several Canadian artists whose art highlights the beauty of Canada's landscapes. One image in particular, Windswept, by Jessica Vergeer, blew off the shelves at retailers and we've already had to reorder another pallet. Jessica's "Windswept" image is a contemporary take on the classic windswept pines the Group of Seven made famous. The original title of her painting is called "Granite Island Windswept" and we're thrilled to offer it as a 1000 piece puzzle. We hope everyone enjoys this one!

Another puzzle to highlight, since we're nearing Christmas, is our Family Pieces 350 puzzle, "Tinsel Town". It's a fun follow up to the Liv Wan Halloween puzzle called "Boo Town". Cute characters march the streets of Christmas themed shops like Holly Jolly Pie Shop and the Silent Knit Studio. It's definitely a grab a cup of cocoa and your friends or family for a cozy night of puzzling. All Family Pieces 350 puzzles include large, medium, and small pieces that cascade in one direction so puzzlers of varying skill levels can contribute to the fun!

And lastly, we want to share new to us artist, Andy Kehoe's Be Wary the Silent Night. While it may have the title words of a famous Christmas song, this image leans leery more than cheery - and we love it !! Some of us (me) cannot get over the point of view from Kehoe's illustration with a cat creature camouflaged in a forest of monochromatic colours. It's a blue night and a weary traveler passes through the dense snow covered forest while red glowing eyes peer down at him. But is the creature hunting, or being hunted? Take notice of the horns on the travelers head, what mystery will unfold in this forest. It's a phenomenal image and we're thrilled that our Creative Art Director met with this artist at Origin's this year. Not sure if this one will make it into any speed puzzling competitions, but it would present a fun challenge - that's for sure!
